Officer hurt in crash

A Pueblo Police officer is recovering after a crash Tuesday morning. It happened on St. Clair, near Thatcher and Prairie Ave. around 11:30 a.m.
Traffic investigators say the officer was attempting to stop a driver, when another car turned in front of the cruiser. The officer's car ended up hitting a stop sign and plowing into a yard.
The cruiser suffered quite a bit of damage. The officer was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. There were several teenagers in the other car, they were taken by their parents to get checked out.
So far there have been no charges in the accident, but it's still under investigation.
