A new study looks at how obesity may impact sexual health.

French researchers surveyed over 12,000 adults about their sexual behavior.

Obese men were two and half times more likely to have problems with erectile dysfunction than normal weight men.

Obese women had four times the number of unplanned pregnancies than normal weight women, and were less likely to use oral contraceptives. Obese women were also 5 times as likely to have met their partner on the internet -- a statistic researchers say could be rooted in concerns about body image.

The study was led by researchers at the Institut National de la Sante et de la Recherche Medicale in Paris and published online at bmj.com.
