Nuggets sign former Denver prep star

DENVER (AP) - The Denver Nuggets have signed hometown forward Michael Ruffin, a nine-year NBA pro who most recently played for Portland in 2008-09.
Ruffin's signing brings the Nuggets' training camp roster to 16.
Ruffin, who attended high school in the Denver area, has averaged 1.7 points and 3.9 rebounds with six teams in his NBA career. He spent part of last season coaching the Colorado Kings of the American Basketball Association before playing in Spain.
