Northbound I-25 backed up due to accident at Woodmen overpass

Colorado Springs Police are investigating a serious traffic accident involving a single motorcycle with two riders. Both riders were thrown from their motorcycle when it appears the operator over corrected causing the bike to flip several times on the Northbound I-25 Overpass over Woodmen Road.
Both riders were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The scene is currently causing major traffic tie ups as far south as the Garden of the Gods exit of Northbound I-25.
It is advised that drivers attempt to avoid the area by detouring to N. Academy Blvd back to Northbound I-25.
