WELLINGTON, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a small airplane crashed while the student pilot and an instructor were apparently trying to land at a Larimer County airport, but no significant injuries were reported.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports the crash occurred Saturday at the privately owned Owl Canyon Gliderport north of Fort Collins.

The Larimer County Sheriff's Department says the student pilot and an instructor had minor injuries and refused treatment.

The make and model of the plane weren't immediately available.

The newspaper reports the plane touched down on the roughly north-south runway, veered west and struck a gazebo. The plane came to a rest about 75 yards from the runway.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
