A woman from Trinidad is the new Colorado State Fair Silver Queen. Today Frances Garbo was crowned at a ceremony at the Pueblo Convention Center. She competed against eighteen other elderly women.

Garbo is 100 years old. Her duties as Silver Queen include greeting people for senior day at the fair and riding in the state fair parade. We talked to Garbo right after she was crowned and asked her how she felt. "nervous," said Garbo as she laughed. "But I'm very happy though and thankful."

Garbo lives at the Trinidad Inn Nursing home and she likes to crochet and play cards.
