New kinetic sculpture graces Pueblo Arts Center

The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center now has a kinetic sculpture to honor the decades of service of Maggie Divelbiss. She retired in December of 2010.
John King of Lyons, Colorado created Rising Dancer, which now graces one of the public areas at the Arts Center.
"My work is characterized most strongly by its motion," said King. "It exhibits complex, organic, flowing movement. The sculptures are living things. They dance and perform within their territory."
