New information released on 2012 Teller County Arsons

The Teller County Sheriff's Office says they believe they have a person of interest in a series of arsons in 2012.

The person however, is not in custody and the investigators would not identify them. The Sheriff's Office announced the development in a press conference Tuesday afternoon. 25 fires were ignited in the Teller County area just days before Waldo Canyon broke out in June of 2012.

Investigators with the Colorado Springs Police Department(CSPD) don't believe that the Teller County suspect is the same person responsible for the Waldo Canyon Fire, but added that they will not 100% rule anyone out.

The CSPD says that they haven't received any new tips about Waldo in awhile, and remind people that there is a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the fatal Waldo Canyon Fire. The tip line is (719)385-2222.
