New General Manager takes over at News First 5

News First 5 has a new General Manager. He is Evan Pappas.
Pappas comes to Colorado from California where he has been General Manager of KSBY in San Luis Obispo since 2008.
David Whitaker, General Manager since 1998 is retiring. Whitaker has been in broadcasting for 45 years. Over his career Whitaker worked at stations in North Carolina, Cleveland, Tampa and Dallas.
Under his direction, KOAA has consistently ranked as viewers number one choice for news in Southern Colorado. He plans to stay in Colorado Springs.
