Colorado is getting another $500,000 to provide green job training for veterans, according to Sen. Michael Bennet. The money will be distributed through the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment.

"Colorado can lead the country towards a clean energy future, and our veterans can and want to play a role," said Bennet. "When it comes to moving the clean energy economy forward, we can enlist the talent, skill and dedication of America's military men and women in good-paying jobs that will help grow our economy and break our dependence on foreign fossil fuels."

Veterans will receive skills assessments, individual job counseling, labor market information, classroom or on-the-job training for green jobs.
