New Abbey release made only from Colorado grapes

Just in time for Valentine's Day, the Winery at Holy Cross Abbey has released its 2009 Colorado Cabernet Franc, made from 100% Colorado grapes grown in Palisade.

Winemaker Matt Cookson describes it as "possibly the best example of Colorado Cabernet Franc ever made". Every release of the Abbey's Cabernet Franc has medaled in international wine competitions, with several vintages winning gold.

The 2009 Colorado Cabernet Franc is available at the winery's tasting room, 3011 East US Highway 50 in Cañon City. It is also available at wine shops along the front range.
