Neighborhoods notified of two sexually violent predators

The Colorado Springs Police Department has notified two neighborhoods of homeless men who have been designated as sexually violent predators.

Daniel Murphy was convicted of sexual abuse in New York state.  He is homeless but living in the area of Maizeland Road and Academy.

In addition, Rashaun Faulcon, also believed to be homeless, is living somewhere near Bijou and Union Boulevard.  He was convicted in Colorado of attempted sexual assault.

The law requires these men to register with local law enforcement agencies, and for the Police Department to notify the community of their presence.

Faulcon's criminal history reveals that he has been convicted of Attempted Sexual Assault-Overcome Victim's Will.

Faulcon is currently registered as homeless in the area of Bijou Street and Union Blvd. He is described as being a black male, 26 years old, 6'1" tall, 175 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

Faulcon is one of one nine (9) "Sexually Violent Predators" registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department who reside in this community. The Colorado Springs Police Department takes his presence in our community very seriously and is intent on insuring he conducts himself in a lawful manner and that our citizens remain safe and aware.

Anyone with further questions about this SVP and this Community Notification process can contact Sgt. B. Dehart of the Colorado Springs Police Department Registered Sex Offender Unit at 719-444-7540 (option 3).
