Nature Center takes step to stop vandalism

Starting soon cars won't be allowed into the Pueblo Nature Center after hours. Managers say vandals have been causing damage to the property overnight.

In an effort to prevent more crimes, the nature center installed a gate on Nature Center Rd. near the raptor center. Cars won't be allowed past the gate after hours, but you'll still be able to walk to the river.

The gate will be locked at 8:30 every night starting Dec. 30. The gate will be unlocked at 6:30 a.m. Hours may vary by the season.
