Natural gas prices have dropped

The price of natural gas has dropped a bit in the past month. In fact, the energy information administration says spot prices are about half of what they were last year.

The reason for the drop is because the recession has driven down demand, and a warm November means the country is using less electricity. Which means power plants are using less gas to generate power.

Analysts say there's more natural gas stockpiled in the U.S. right now than at any point in history.
