The giving spirit is alive and well in Pueblo, despite a new national survey that shows Americans are cutting back on charitable donations.

According to a Barna Group survey, 41% of all Americans have reduced giving to non-profits in recent months, but that's not the case everywhere.

Tonight at Abundant Life Ministries in Pueblo, the church gave away food baskets, turkeys and clothing to about a hundred families in need. The pastor says people of all incomes continue to donate. "These are people from all walks of life, people, in fact we have single adults, single mothers raising children who just felt out of their heart, God's taken care of me, if I can help with a turkey I want to be a part of this as well," said Pastor Roger Lucero.

The survey also found church donors are more consistent givers than people who donated to non-profits.
