The National Museum of World WarII Aviation is open in Colorado Springs. It is the only museum in the country dedicated to the preservation and education of WWII aviation. Development is being done in phases on the twenty acre complex. Students can learn history while studying technology that revolutionized aviation history. Interactive displays, programs and plane restoration are all done on site. Colorado Springs was chosen because of it's strong military presence and the Air Force Academy.
