LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - NASA representatives are sizing up areas in northern Colorado for a technology park it plans to develop.

Don Marostica, the state economic development director, says NASA officials toured the old Hewlett-Packard/Agilent campus in Loveland Wednesday.

The space agency is looking for a site that could house from 60 to 80 businesses and high-tech manufacturing operations. The venture could create 10,000 jobs over five years.

NASA representatives have toured other northern Colorado sites. They're looking for about 1 million square feet of space.

Loveland City Manager Bill Cahill tells The Coloradoan in Fort Collins that the city will draft a proposal for the Hewlett-Packard site.
