N. Academy Home Depot robbed at gunpoint

An armed man robbed the Home Depot on North Academy Boulevard in Colorado Springs around 8:00 Saturday evening, according to police.  The man, described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s, aroung 5'5" to 5'7", with a medium build, approached one of the check-out registers and pulled out a gun, then told the register attendant to remove cash from the till and place it in a duffel bag in his shopping cart.  The attendant complied with the demand and the suspect left the store with cash, but police wouldn't disclose how much he got away with.  The man was wearing a dark gray short top hat, gray long jacket down to knees, black pants, and black shirt, according to witnesses. The suspect had stubble for facial hair.
