A Colorado Springs man accused of killing a denture maker from Pueblo and assaulting an elderly woman in the Springs made his first appearance in district court Friday on the assault charge.
Aaron Wilkerson, who also goes by the name Aaron Foster, is being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on multiple felony warrants including one related to the beating death of Robert Piserchio, a 50 year old Pueblo man who's body was found beaten and burned in his home December 10. He appeared in Pueblo District Court earlier this week.
Piserchio was brother-in-law of Fountain Police Chief and former Pueblo County Sheriff Dan Corsentino.
Wilkerson is also facing felony assault charges for allegedly using a stun gun on a woman in her 60's during a robbery outside a Colorado Springs Office Max store.
He was arrested on December 23 by task force that included of law enforcement officers from Colorado Springs, Pueblo and the FBI.
Wilkerson is scheduled to appear in district court in Pueblo on Wednesday for defense motions in the murder case.
