TODAY: Warm, drier and calmer to start the week. Temps this afternoon will reach 53 in Colorado Springs and 61 in Pueblo. Temps around eastern Colorado that still have more snow cover will stay a bit cooler. There is a disturbance that will move through the region to the north which should bring us a few clouds mixed-in with abundant sunshine. Some scattered snow showers will be possible in the northern and the central mountains. A couple of inches of snow will be possible by this evening.
TONIGHT: That disturbance that passes-by will drop a cold front through eastern Colorado this evening. Skies will become partly to mostly cloudy for a time as the cooler air arrives. Winds at times will be a bit gusty. No precip is expected locally...just a few light showers in the mountains.
TUESDAY: Thanks to that front...tomorrow will be a bit cooler, but we will have plenty of sunshine. Max temps will only reach about 47 for Colorado Springs and the lower 50's for Pueblo, Canon City and La Junta.
WEDNESDAY: Let the warming trend begin! Mid-week forecast will include sunny skies and much warmer temps! 60 for the Springs and 65 in Pueblo. Skies will be dry statewide and winds will be fairly light.
THURSDAY-FRIDAY: More sunshine and even warmer! Temps will be in the mid 60's in the Springs on Thursday and 68 on Friday. Really warmer in Pueblo on Thursday and 71...up to 75 on Friday. WOW! Friday afternoon and evening a weak storm will start to bring another round of a few light snow showers to the high country. Starting late Friday night and into Saturday we could see a few flurries across the mountains close to home...including Pikes Peak and the Rampart Range.
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Slight chance early during the day of those light showers mentioned above for the higher elevations. At the lower elevations it will just be a little cooler, but still dry and partly cloudy to mostly sunny on Saturday and mostly sunny on Sunday. Temps will be about 7-10 degrees cooler for the weekend compared to the really warm weather on Friday.
