Some local elementary school students have put their creative thinking caps on for a unique display.
About sixty kids from Mountainside Elementary School on the Mountain Post have teamed up with teachers and local artists to create the Marrionette "The wimpy kid". The display is made up of characters the students created and also include favorite super heroes such as "Batman" and others. Teachers at the school say it is a chance for the kids to think outside of the realm of possibility. The kids say it gives them the chance to put their creative skills on display for others to see.
"It makes me feel really proud of myself because I really want to be an artist and show people the skills I have and put it forth college and to explain my feelings in my art," said said Mountainside Elementary School student Jastiny Gaydan.
The Marrionette "The Wimpy Kid" will be on display the school thru the end of the school year.
