The Colorado City Clerk's office has received more than half of the ballots sent out for the mayoral runoff election.
Of the 154,778 ballots issued, 84,132 ballots have been turned into the city clerk's office. The city issued about 4,000 more ballots for this election than the election in April, mainly because that many people reactivated their status as voters.
The city clerk has trained extra judges and has staggered shifts to make sure every vote is counted tonight.
