DENVER (AP) - The Postal Service has listed more than 60 post offices for closure in Colorado as the agency struggles with financial problems.

The list has communities scrambling to convince the agency their post offices are still needed.

The financially troubled agency announced Tuesday that it will study more than 3,600 local offices, branches and stations for possible closing nationwide.

Many of those may be replaced by Village Post Offices in which
postal services are offered in local stores, libraries or
government offices.
