More than 200 now fighting fire near Westcliffe

The Duckett Fire, northwest of Westcliffe is now estimated at 1,800 acres and growing. There are now 210 fire fighters at the scene, which is near Hillside, 16 miles northwest of Westcliffe.
The fire is burning in conifer forests with occasional small fires up to a quarter mile ahead of the main fire.
The Forest Service says the growth potential is high. The cause of this fire is unknown. It started early Sunday morning.
