The following areas are in the area of concern for strong storms: Southeastern El Paso, Central & Eastern Pueblo, Crowley, Otero, Bent, Baca and Prowers Counties. The eastern sections of Huerfano and Las Animas Counties are also part of the slight risk area. Severe storms will have the potential to drop some heavy rain, produce strong winds and large hail.
TODAY: More clouds than sunshine and another round of thunderstorms today! An additional 1-4" of snow expected above 11,000 feet...including over Pikes Peak. Cool temps for all of us today with a high of only 64 in Colorado Springs and near 70 in Pueblo.
TONIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms continue in the early evening close to the mountains...they could last past midnight on the eastern plains again like they did last night. The low to night in the mid 40s in Colorado Springs and upper 40s in Pueblo.
TOMMORROW: One more day of somewhat unsettled conditions. Storms will be possible, but are expected to be more isolated. 20% chance throughout the afternoon for most of us. Slightly higher chance over the mountains. Cool-ish again with a high in the mid to upper 60s in Colorado Springs and in the low 70's in Pueblo.
SATURDAY: The weather pattern calms down with warmer and dryer conditions. Temperatures will be slightly above average with highs in the lower 70s in Colorado Springs and upper 70's in Pueblo. Lows will be in the mid to upper 40's in most areas.
SUNDAY: September will go out on a beautiful note with sunshine, calm winds and mild temperatures. Colorado Springs will see highs in the mid 70's and Pueblo will bounce back into the lower 80's.
MONDAY-WEDNESDAY: First few days of October are going to be just incredible. Sunny skies and calm weather. Temperatures will be mild and slightly above average for early October. Enjoy!
