If you love to see fresh snow coating the mountains, you're in luck.

A cold front is bringing high winds, snow, rain and plunging temperatures to Colorado. The National Weather Service has issued winter advisories for parts of the state.

Snowfall of up to 10 inches was expected in parts of Colorado's northern and central mountains. Winds of more than 50 mph whipped along the Front Range before the cold front.

Down here at the lower elevations, we'll get rain instead of snow.
