A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9pm today for the Eastern Plains.
A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this evening mainly out over the Eastern Plains. The main threats with any storm that develops will be large hail and damaging wind. After sunset, the region should start to dry out and slowly clear out for the overnight hours.
The chance for showers and storms returns again Monday and continues into Tuesday. Cooler, mroe seasonal highs in the 70s/80s are also expected for the start of the workweek.
Wednesday through Saturday looks dry and very warm once again with highs jumping back into the 80s/90s. Please keep in mind that the fire danger remains very high despite the recent rainfall.
