More information released about suspect wanted in attempted murder

We're learning more information about the suspect wanted in an attempted murder that left a 30-year-old victim severely injured.

According to an affidvait, Nathaniel Mancha told police that after dropping an acquaintance off at work, he became involved in an altercation with another driver.  Mancha says that at some point in time he struck a green van with his vehicle while the door to the van was open. He says the driver of the green van then moved the vehicle to the curb and got out with a large tire iron. Mancha says the person then approached his vehicle and he took off.

Mancha initially denied striking the person with the vehicle but later said he may have struck him with the passenger side mirror, but not on purpose.

The affidavit also says Mancha fled the area on March 8 after seeing a photograph of his truck on the news. Two days later detectives say they received a call from Mancha , acknowledging from him that he knew detectives were looking for him.

Police have issued a warrant for Mancha's arrest.
