If you like the sun and heat, I bet you're in heaven today... that is if you're not stuck in the office! We're expecting mostly to partly sunny skies this afternoon as highs are going to climb into the 80s and 90s. It's going to be very much like yesterday, with just a tad bit more heat. Otherwise, we continue to see a few pop-up showers in the higher elevations.
For Thursday, the heat is still on and the sunshine still dominates. However, we do re-introduce at least a slight chance for a shower or two across the entire area. I think many people stay dry, but a few areas will see a shower. It's on Friday that we have the best chance of seeing widespread rain. This will be in place for everyone as a weak disturbance moves through our atmosphere. By Saturday though, it's already starting to dry out. And with the chance for more widespread rain and clouds, temperatures for Friday and Saturday will drop a few degrees - but still stay warm.
On Sunday, we're dry and sunny once again with those temperatures feeling like summer - in the 80s for most.
Happy Hump Day... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
