More flooding could be on the way for Upper Midwest

More flooding could be on the way for parts of the upper Midwest.

Rain was expected to continue in parts of western Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota early Friday. Some towns are reeling from flash floods sparked by downpours that struck early Thursday morning and continued throughout the day in some areas.

The Wisconsin National Guard has 18 troops in Arcadia and has delivered 10,000 sandbags each to Neillsville and Osseo, with an additional 20,000 sandbags in Arcadia. The National Weather service extended flood warnings for 13 Wisconsin and Minnesota counties until 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Officials already have evacuated 340 homes in Arcadia, a city of about 2,400 people 100 miles southeast of Minneapolis.
