More arrests made in stolen merchandise investigation

COLORADO SPRINGS - CSPD has announced the arrest of 5 people in connection to an undercover investigation surrounding thousands of dollars in stolen goods.

On March 22, 2013, several search and arrest warrants related to Just Computers were executed, with 5 people arrested for violations of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act. $119, 363 worth of property stolen from retail merchants was recovered.

Eight additional arrests were made of patrons attempting to visit the store while Police were on scene. These arrests included charges for Counterfeiting, Theft, Failure to Appear and others.

An additional suspect, Timothy Rupp, has been charged under the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act for Theft (felony) and Money Laundering. The Colorado Springs Police Department will be seeking arrest warrants related to COCCA charges, Money Laundering and Theft by Receiving on five additional suspects. Their names will be released once the arrest warrants have been signed by a judge.

This case is in its infancy and the Police Department anticipates many more arrests.
