DENVER (AP) - John Fox is still searching for a defensive coordinator to join him in Denver after failing to lure Jim Mora Jr. to help fix the Broncos' dismal defense.

The former head coach in Atlanta and Seattle spent two days in Denver meeting with Fox but left without a contract agreement and informed the team on Wednesday he wouldn't be joining the Broncos.

The Broncos ranked last in the league in overall defense last season under Don Martindale, the team's fifth defensive coordinator in the last five years.

No new candidates are scheduled to interview for the job and the Broncos might wait for Green Bay's season to end so they can speak with Packers defensive line coach Mike Trgovac, who served as Fox's defensive coordinator in Carolina from 2003-08.
