The USGS is installing three seismometers in the area southwest of Trinidad today.
They're hoping to record and learn more about quake activity in this area, after a 5.3 quake hit Monday night. They say while earthquakes aren't exactly rare for the Trinidad area, one as large as the one that hit Monday sure is.
We're out with them right now installing the seismometers and will have more coming up tonight on News First 5.
