Monique Lynch gets 27 years

Monique Lynch has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for her involvement in the death of 7-year-old Genesis Sims. She pleaded guilty to a charge of child abuse resulting in death in an agreement where she will testify in the first degree murder trial of the child's father Hanif Sims.
Genesis Sims body was found in a bag that was buried in the crawl space of a house in Monument. Hanif Sims and Genesis Sims were later found in Nevada where they were arrested and extradited back to Colorado.
