Monday started calm and chilly. Temperatures started warming west of I-25 before sunrise as the wind began increasing along the foothills. The wind will continue increasing and will spread east across the interstate through noon before backing off slightly into the 5:00 hour this evening.
High temperatures will be in the upper 50's around Colorado Springs with low-to-mid 60's from Pueblo and Cañon City south and eastward across the Plains.
Red Flag Warnings, indicating an increasing fire risk, and Blowing Dust Advisories, indicating an increasing risk for low visibility due to wind-blown dust, are in effect throughout the day.
Expect a sharp change tomorrow as colder air moves into Colorado and snow begins to fly by early evening.
