FORT COLLINS (AP)-A former Loveland high school employee accused of having sex with a 16-year-old male student will be allowed to talk to her daughters but only by phone.

The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports that a judge ruled that 31-year-old Courtney Bowles can talk to the girls for up to 30 minutes every other day, starting Friday. Her husband must listen in to the conversations.

Bowles has been barred from having any contact with minors, including her children, since her arrest on Jan. 21. On Thursday-the birthday of one of the daughters-Judge Stephen Howard rejected Bowles' request to see the girls either in the presence of her husband or a child advocate.

Bowles worked with teachers as an instructional coach and didn't work directly with students.
