The father of a 28-year-old woman who went missing more than a week ago says he doesn't think his son-in-law would do anything to hurt his daughter, and understands why he felt the need to hire an attorney.

Charles Cox says that the last time he spoke to his daughter, he asked her if things were OK between her and her husband and she said everything was fine. Cox also says Susan Powell would never leave her children.

Susan Powell was reported missing Dec. 7 when she didn't show up to work and her children weren't dropped off at day care.

Josh Powell told told police he took his two boys, ages 2 and 4, camping that day and returned in the evening.
