Debbie Heriford has been missing for a year, and still her family and friends have no answers. Tonight they gathered at Dublin Park in Colorado Springs to keep her memory and her case alive.

Police investigated Heriford's disappearance as a homicide, but no suspects were ever named. The 51 year old didn't show up to work on March 31st of last year, prompting concern from coworkers. When investigators went to her house, they found her car, keys, and dog missing. Officials suspect she may have been taking her dog for a walk when she disappeared; the dog was later found behind a business near her home.

Today those grieving her loss wrote private messages to Debbie on balloons then released them into the sky- both a way to reach out to the missing mother's spirit and keep the search alive.
