Missing body identified, four in custody

Four people are under arrest, tied to the death of a Colorado Springs man whose body was found Tuesday off Rampart Range Road. Police say the victim was savagely beaten June 6th at the Copper Chase Apartments on Southgate Road. In fact, investigators called on the media to help locate the man after the initial reports came in. "The information that we received was that this person had been pretty severely beaten. But the person making the report didn't know who this person was." explains Sgt. Steve Noblitt with CSPD.

A sketch was released on Monday and late Wednesday the body found on Rampart Range Road was positively identified as 40 year old Duane Maach. After an autopsy, the El Paso County Coroner's Office ruled the death a homicide. "All indications are that he died from suffocation." says Noblitt.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the death. 32 year old Jason Bomsta, his wife, 29 year old Jobeth Bomsta and 37 year old Peter Miller have all been charged with 1st degree murder. A fourth person, 21 year old Christopher McKinley has been charged with Accessory to Murder in the First Degree.
