Start with winds up to 50 miles an hour and throw in a little snow and you have an exceptional blizzard.
White out conditions are being reported across Southern Colorado. Visibility is often 150 to 200 feet, but occasionally it goes down to zero. Conditions are worse in rural areas and on east-west roads where snow is blowing across the lanes of traffic.
Wind chill readings are below zero across Southern Colorado. Wind gusts of more than 50 miles an hour have been reported in both Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
