The National Weather Service says a severe thunderstorm in Pueblo County this afternoon produced a land spout tornado and it caused some minor damage to a couples property.
It tore through their car port, slamming it up and down on the parked car underneath. The car's windshield was completely shattered.
Homeowner, Jim Davis, was outside and saw the whole thing happen, "It raised it about 20 to 30 feet in the air, and spun it around and it went up and down a couple times and then dropped it," he explains
Davis adds that he had just put the car port up a couple weeks ago. Also damaged on their property, a small chimney connected to an antique stove inside, and their roof is lifted a little bit where the tornado went over it.
