MANKATO, Minn. (AP) - Eriah Hayes scored the game-winning goal and Andrew Sackrison had three points to lead Minnesota State, Mankato to a 5-4 win Friday over Colorado College in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Mavericks (1-1-3, 1-1-1) rallied from two goals down despite being outshot 43-34 by the Tigers (2-2-1, 0-1-0), who were up 2-0 after one period.
Chase Grant had two goals for the Tigers. Sackrison had a goal and two assists and Kurt Davis assisted on two scores, including the game's last goal by Hayes at 11:35 of the third. Jaden Schwartz, who had tied it 4-4 at 10:36, had a pair of goals.
Colorado College goalie Joe Howe made 16 of his 29 saves in the first period. But he gave up three goals on 10 shots in the second period and two goals on eight shots in the third.
Phil Cook had 39 saves; 18 in the third period.
William Rapuzzi had a goal and assist and Rylan Schwartz had two assists for Colorado College.
