Minn. Duluth beats Colorado College 4-1

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - Jack Connolly scored two power-play goals and Minnesota-Duluth dominated Colorado College for the second straight night, beating the Tigers 4-1 to move into a tie with Denver for first place in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Denver hosted Alaska-Anchorage on Friday. Minnesota-Duluth (14-7-1, 10-5-1 WCHA) and Denver have 21 points.

UMD held the Tigers (12-7-3, 8-5-3) to a season-low 19 shots for the second straight game.

The Bulldogs' Kyle Schmidt, Jack Connolly and Mike Connolly scored the first three goals of the game. Rylan Schwartz scored for Colorado College late in the third period, but Jack Connolly added his second goal with less that two minutes to play.

UMD, which is 6-1-1 in its last eight games, got 18 saves from Kenny Reiter. The Tigers got 24 from Joe Howe.
