TODAY: One more day of mild temps before the toastier temps return. Highs today in Colorado Springs will only reach 78....Pueblo today 83. (Average highs for today are: 85 & 94) There will be another round of a few storms, but just like yesterday they will be more likely close to the mountains and over the foothills. 20% chance for Monument, Teller County/The Rampart Range and Canon City. Colorado Springs about a 10-20% chance. For Pueblo, Trinidad, Walsenburg and La Junta chances will only be around 10%. Storms today will move from the north to the south/southwest.
TONIGHT: Expect clearing skies and cooling temps.
WEDNESDAY: Warmer weather returning to eastern Colorado. Highs tomorrow will be about 8 degrees warmer than today. Again Wednesday we'll see only a minimal chance of storms at the lower elevations. Chances at 10% or less for the Springs and Pueblo.
THURSDAY: Hotter still, with temps five degrees above Wednesday's highs. There will be a little bit better chance of a few afternoon and early-evening storms as a weak disturbance moves across the state to our north. Areas of heavy rain will be possible again with the storms that do flair up. Chances for storms should be about 20% for all of us.
FRIDAY: Hot again, high temps very close to Thursday's readings. Thunderstorms are a little bit less likely, especially at the lower elevations. Chance of storms are at about 10% with chances increasing to 20% over the mountains.
SATURDA-SUNDAY: As the weekend arrives, we anticipate a little more monsoon moisture to arrive as well. This will increase the likelihood of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Saturday chances should be 30% over the mountains and higher elevations, 20% Springs and 10-20% in Pueblo. For Sunday, moisture should be even more plentiful with chances again at 30% for Teller County and the mountains but coming up to 20-30% in the Springs and up to 20% in Pueblo.
MONDAY: A case of same song-different verse for the first day of next week with slightly toastier temps and another chance for a few afternoon thundershowers.
