TODAY: Another mild afternoon expected for your Thursday. We won't have record high temps though like we did yesterday. Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with high temps topping-out at 61 in the Springs and 64 in Pueblo. It will be a touch breezy at times for the foothills and places like Pueblo and Pueblo West...one of the reasons it will be mild again. Compared to our quiet weather here we'll actually start to see a few more light rain and snow showers along the Continental Divide and to the west thanks to the first of three Pacific storms heading through the mountains.
TONIGHT: As that storm exits the state skies will begin to clear for eastern Colorado and the mountains. Temps will drop to around 28 in the Springs, Monument and Canon City. Teens and lower 20's in Pueblo and Pueblo West.
FRIDAY: We are expecting more sun tomorrow, but cooler temps. Highs about 5-7 degrees lower than today's readings. As the next storm system approaches from the west clouds will begin to increase in the high country. Late tomorrow we'll probably see a few more clouds as well.
SATURDAY: Pacific storm number two will bring more snow to the higher elevations of western Colorado and for the ski resorts. Here in the eastern half of the state we'll see more clouds then sun and slightly warmer temp compared to Friday. During the afternoon and evening there will be a chance across Teller County & the Rampart Range, the Wets and Sangre de Cristo Mountains of a light shower or two. No accumulations are expected.
SUNDAY: As storm number two leaves we'll, again, see more sunshine across eastern Colorado. Temps should be about 2-4 degrees warmer than Saturday as Pacific storm number three approaches and gets ready to bring more snow to the high country.
MONDAY: Expect snow to be flying at the higher elevations so check the road reports before you venture across any mountain passes. For the News 5 viewing area we'll see partly to mostly cloudy skies by late Monday and early Tuesday there will be a slight chance of a few light snow showers over the mountains close to home and an even lower chance of an isolated shower at the lower elevations.
TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY: Much colder weather on the way these days so keep the warmer coats handy! High temps only in the 30's in the Springs and Briargate and lower 40's for Pueblo and Canon City. It will be possible for a few light snow showers over the mountains and foothills early on Tuesday, but as the third and last storm system leaves the region we'll see more sun on Tuesday.
