A nice day today compared to yesterday. Highs topped out in the 50°s and 60°s.
The weekend is looking very nice, if you like sunshine and above normal temperatures. Temperatures will run 10° to 20° above normal. Mostly sunny skies should prevail Saturday and temperatures should make it up in to the upper 50°s and 60°s. (Colorado Springs: 59° | Pueblo: 63°)
Sunday will start out sunny but by late afternoon clouds should start to drift in from the north ahead of a cold front that will move through the area starting late Sunday night. Ahead of the front, we will see temperatures once again reaching the upper 50°s and 60°s. (Colorado Springs: 57° | Pueblo: 64°)
TEMPERATURES TO PLUNGE MONDAY
Once the cold front passes late Sunday night, temperatures will take a big drop for Monday. We're talking highs in the 20°s and some areas may struggle to get out of the teens during the afternoon. The other thing coming with the front is the potential for snow. Latest computer models suggest we could see snow across the area Monday through Tuesday morning. At this point it doesn't look like a significant snow, but a couple inches of snow are a definite possibility. Stephanie Ortmann will have more on the evolving forecast over the weekend. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
