VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - Defenseman Brian Rafalski scored twice in the final three minutes, helping the U.S. men's hockey team beat Norway 6-1, improving to 2-0.
Phil Kessel and Chris Drury had first-period goals, Patrick Kane stretched the lead to 3-0 in the second, and Ryan Malone added his second goal of the tournament.
Goalie Ryan Miller stopped 10 shots, and the Americans outshot their opponents 39-11. Norway has been outscored 14-1 in two games.
The United States has a shot at capturing Group A, but they'll have to beat heavily favored host Canada on Sunday. Host Canada had its own problems. The heavily favored Canadians needed a goal by Sidney Crosby in the shootout to beat upset-minded Switzerland 3-2 to get two of three possible points.
