Memorial in Oklahoma planned for journalist Anthony Shadid

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The family of Pulitzer Prize winner Anthony Shadid will hold a memorial service for the late journalist next month in his hometown of Oklahoma City.
The City of Oklahoma City said Tuesday the service planed by Shadid's family will be at 2 p.m. on March 3 at the city's downtown Civic Center Music Hall.
The New York Times reporter died at age 43 of an apparent asthma attack last week while on assignment in Syria.
Shadid was a longtime correspondent in the Middle East for the Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and The Associated Press. He won Pulitzer Prizes for his work in 2004 and 2010.
Several members of Shadid's family live in Oklahoma City, where his cousin Ed Shadid is a member of the city council.
