COLORADO SPRINGS - Memorial Hospital is now the official hospital for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
The hospital is partnering with the Sky Sox to promote health, exercise and athletics, according to a press release about the partnership.
Under this exclusive, three-year agreement, the two organizations will collaborate around healthy initiatives in the Pikes Peak Region.
"The Sky Sox are proud to enter into this long term partnership with Memorial Hospital," said Sky Sox President and General Manager Tony Ensor. "We are equally excited about the future development of Memorial Hospital and what that means to the Colorado Springs community and are happy to be a partner in this growth. We share Memorial's excitement for our city and how quality of life, health and wellness affect us all."
"This is one of the many ways that Memorial is rebuilding relationships in the community,'' said Mike Scialdone, chief executive officer of Memorial Hospital. "Memorial spent many years mired in uncertainty over its future. Our vision and our future are bright, and we are gaining momentum, hiring doctors, investing in technology and re-engaging with our great community.''
Memorial is also the official hospital of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and the official hospital of Colorado College hockey.
