The public is invited to participate in an e-Town Hall meeting about the future of Memorial Health System as city leaders weigh proposals for potential ownership. Four prospective buyers have already stepped forward to purchase city-owned hospital including Centura Health, the University of Colorado Health System, HCA - Health ONE LLC and the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System. A fifth option involves allowing Memorial Health System to become an independent non-profit organization that would lease the buildings from the city.
Executives from each of the interested parties will participate in meeting this afternoon from 1:00 - 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend in person at the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 107 N. Nevada Avenue.
Questions will also be taken over the phone at 385-5961, or via email at MemorialTownHall@springsgov.com. Each group will also make a presentation and take questions according to the following schedule:
1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Centura Health
2:15 - 3:15 p.m. University of Colorado Health System
3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Memorial Health System
4:45 - 5:45 HCA - Health ONE LLC
6:00 - 7:00 Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System
